Inclusion TV Sheffield

In April 2012, Momentum held a 3 day inclusion conference in Sheffield. It was attended by youth workers and a variety of organisation members.

However this wasn’t your average conference, this was the first Inclusion TV project.
Inclusion TV uses a series of discussions, exercises and learning which takes place in a television studio setting.

The cameras and equipment are fully operated by young people who are taught in a matter of hours how to use the equipment. Last year this role was undertaken by students from mainstream education as well as students from special schools.

The atmosphere created was incredible, for both the young people and conference attendees. The young people were given the opportunity to share their learning with the youth workers whilst the conference was informative, creative and hands on.

I believe all parties took a lot from the conference and I strongly believe the same experience will be created in Austria.
